Popcorn is a classic American snack that is actually quite healthy. Well, it is healthy if you make it correctly, that it. Many prepacked, microwavable popcorn bags are full of salt, fat and unnecessary additives that make popcorn not so great for you. Instead of buying those unhealthy bags of popcorn, why not make your own?? If you have an Instant Pot, you can pop your own popcorn in a matter of minutes then add any seasonings you’d like. Instant Pot® Popcorn
- Instant Pot
- Measuring Spoon
- Measuring Cup
- Rubber Spatula
- 0.5 cup Popcorn Kernels
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 0.25 tsp Salt
- Add the olive oil to the Instant pot and press the ‘saute’ button. When the oil is hot, add the popcorn kernels and stir.
- Put the lid on the Instant Pot (you can use the regular Instant Pot lid or a clear lid that fits on your Instant Pot so you can watch the popcorn popping!).
- Cook the popcorn for about 5 minutes, opening the lid and stirring every now and then to evenly cook the popcorn. Once you hear the popping slow down or stop, turn the Instant Pot off
- Add the salt and any other seasonings you’d like (garlic powder, grated cheese etc) and stir well. Serve while hot!
