Equipment

  • Instant Pot
  • Measuring Cup
  • Measuring Spoon
  • Peeler
  • Small Bowl
  • Paring Knife or Chef’s Knife

Ingredients

  • 6 Medium Sized Apples
  • 1 Tablespoon  Cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp  Nutmeg
  • 0.25 tsp  Cloves
  • 0.25 cup  Sugar
  • 0.5 cup  Water
  • 0.5 cup  Butter
  • 1.5 cups  Oats
  • 0.5 cup  Flour
  • 0.25 cup  Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons  Molasses
  • 0.5 tsp  Salt

Instructions

  • Begin by peeling and slicing the apples. Place them in the Instant Pot® bowl once ready.
  • Add the cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ¼ cup sugar to the instant pot and toss together with the apples. Pour the water over the mix.
  • In a separate small bowl, mix the butter, flour, remaining ¼ cup sugar, molasses and salt together with your hands until the mixture is crumbly.
  • Sprinkle the crumble over the top of the apples in the Instant Pot®, covering the surface of the apples completely.
  • Place the lid on the Instant Pot® and seal by making sure the pressure valve is pointed at the “seal” marker. Press the “manual” button and set the Instant Pot® to high pressure and the timer to eight minutes. Once the crisp is done cooking and your Instant Pot® beeps, let the pressure naturally release. This means don’t touch that pot! It may take about 15-20 minutes to naturally release all the steam but just let it go! Once the pot is done. Serve the crisp immediately while warm with ice cream, whipped cream or by itself!
