Place the metal rack or trivet in the bottom of your instant pot along with the one cup of water.
Place the eggs on top of the trivet. If you are making more than 6 eggs, feel free to stack them on top of each other- it will work fine! You can easily make up to 12 eggs at a time in a 6 or 8 quart Instant Pot®.
Close the Instant pot and set the pressure valve to “seal”. Press the “manual” button and set the Instant Pot® to high pressure and a cook time of 5 minutes. Let the Instant Pot® cook! Once the Time is up,allow the Instant Pot® to naturally release the pressure for 5 minutes (just let the pot sit there!). Then, carefully open the steam valve to allow the remaining pressure to release.
Remove the eggs from he Instant Pot® and place directly into a small bowl of ice water. Let the eggs sit in the water for 5 minutes to cool and stop the cooking process.
Store the bard boiled eggs in the fridge, peeled or unpeeled (I like to peel mine before putting them in the fridge as I have found it is easier).
Enjoy plain, in egg salad or in any recipe you’d like.
