Oregano is a powerful, potent essential oil used in a variety of ways. Oregano oil, or Oreganum Vulgare, contains two chemical substances, Carvacrol and Thymol, that possess powerful antioxidants. Because it is so potent, take caution when using Oregano oil as an inhalant or when diffusing: just a few drops are necessary.
Instant Pot® Cinnamon Roll Oatmeal
- Instant Pot
- Measuring Cup
- Measuring Spoon
- Rubber Spatula
- 0.5 Tbsp Butter
- 1 cup Oatmeal
- 1.5 cups Water
- 1.5 cups Skim Milk
- 0.25 tsp Salt
- 0.5 cup Raisins
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 0.125 cup Brown Sugar
- 0.25 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 Tsp Skim Milk
- Add the butter to the Instant Pot® and press the ‘saute’ button. Once the butter has melted, add the oats and stir to incorporate. Toast the oats for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the water, milk and salt to the pot and close the Instant Pot®. Put the steamer Valve on ‘seal’ and then press the ‘Manual’ button. Set the timer for 5 minutes on high pressure. When the cooking cycle is complete, open the steamer valve and release the pressure.
- Open the lid and stir the raisins, cinnamon and brown sugar into the mix.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the powdered sugar and remaining milk. Drizzle this icing over the oatmeal in the bowl and enjoy warm.
