When you think of barbecue ribs, you may think of a really long cooking process. Ribs can take forever to make! However, when you use your Instant Pot®, they can be ready in a matter of minutes rather than hours. These country-style ribs taste amazing (as if they really had cooked for hours) and are such a breeze to make that you will want to whip them up all the time!

Equipment

  • Instant Pot
  • Measuring Spoon
  • Measuring Cup
  • Rubber Spatula
  • Small Bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 Pounds Beef Short Ribs
  • 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Paprika
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Onion Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Cumin
  • 0.25 tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 0.5 cup BBQ Sauce

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine all the dry spices and stir together. Place the short ribs inside the Instant Pot® bowl and sprinkle with the dry spices.
  • Let the ribs sit for 10 minutes to absorb some of the spice.
  • Pour the beef broth inside the Instant Pot® bowl, adding it around the ribs to ensure the spices stay rubbed into the meat (you don’t want to wash them away!).
  • Drizzle the barbecue sauce over the ribs and then close the Instant Pot® lid. Make sure the steamer valve is set to the seal position and then press the ‘Manual’ button and set the timer for 45 minutes on high pressure. Once the cooking time is complete, let the Instant Pot® naturally release the pressure (this means just let the pot sit for about another 10 minutes or until the lid unlocks and you can open it up!). Serve the ribs while hot with some of the extra sauce from the pot.

Wasn’t that one of the easiest rib recipes you have ever made? Wasn’t it also one of the tastiest? Let us know what you think in the comments below or if you have any more questions before you start cooking!
